Our clients wanted a friendly, energizing office structure that would fit into the existing context of Fredericksburg and the surrounding hill country. Most importantly, they wanted a light-filled space that fueled creativity. We designed a space that, in both its exterior and interior, references the historic area’s agricultural buildings in its volume. Our clients personally worked on all phases of construction and were integral throughout the design process. Crafting a beautiful space was the driving force behind our collaboration.

The collective workspaces sit under a vaulted ceiling with exposed rafters above. Windows provide natural light to all spaces although particular attention was given to lighting fixtures to ensure adequate lighting for tasks at desks.

A white oak wrapped conference room sits in the heart of the volume.

Private offices line the perimeter of the west side of structure.

Exterior finishes are both simple and modern. It was important that the office spaces could flow to the exterior. A raised courtyard with a steel pergola creates an outdoor room for meetings and breaks.
